VERIFY THE RESULTS
OF YOUR DOWSING
You’ve got the basic building blocks of dowsing
by now, but the only way to become a really good dowser
is to practice, practice, and practice and to build your
self-confidence as a dowser.
To do this, you might like to spend some
working with physical targets, like putting sticks or some
string on the ground and asking to get a dowsing reaction
when you reach them. This is easily verifiable, as you’ve
either stopped in the right place or not. You might like
to carry a handful of pebbles, counters or other markers
and drop them in the appropriate spot so that you can keep
moving along your dowsing course. A word of caution though,
particularly if using l-rods. Be clear in your own mind
as to when the rods should cross: when the tips of the rods
reach the target, when your toe touches the target or when
you are directly over the target. When working with earth
energies in particular, the first option is probably best
for your own health and energy.
Another good idea, in terms of working
on intangible targets, is to ask a question to which you
don’t know the answer but could find on the Internet or
in a book. For instance, you may know that the French Revolution
took place in the 1780s or 90s but not the exact year. Ask
your questions in a systematic way, so:
Did the French Revolution begin in 1780?
NO
1781 NO
1782 NO
1783 NO
1784 NO
1785 NO
1786 NO
1787 NO
1788 NO
1789 YES
Now check your answer. Were you right?
When you’re cooking, you could ask if
the food is ready, particularly with eggs or vegetables
(faster than waiting for a joint to cook!) rather than relying
on a timer, or dowse to check if your soft fruit is ripe
to eat; you’ll very quickly get verification if you’re right,
and you will still learn something if you were wrong. (How
close to being right were you? Next time, see if you manage
to get closer even if you still don’t get it spot on.)
