GEOPATHIC STRESS
Geopathic Stress Treatment and Relief
If you’ve read through the rest of this section and
are now feeling that you and your property may indeed suffer
from geopathic stress, please do not worry or panic!
What you can do yourself:
If you and your family are not badly affected by the signs
you’ve spotted, but one of you suffers sleep problems,
for instance, you might like to consider moving that person’s
bed to see if this alleviates the condition. Sometimes,
it is sufficient to move it a few inches to one side or
the other; other times, it may require a total re-arrangement
of the furniture. Remember, if you try moving a bed (the
same applies to a favourite chair or other place that someone
spends a considerable amount of time), allow a few weeks
or a month in the new position to see what the impact is.
Clearly, if the situation has got worse, you need to think
again!
Something else that may bring relief from geopathic stress
is to use cork tiling as a barrier, for instance placing
some cork tiles under your bed or usual chair. If this does
not work, please try something else. Also, please be aware
that you may need to change the cork tiles now and again
as they seem to lose their efficacy over time.
Geopathic stress products:
There are a number of products available on the market that
claim to counteract geopathic stress. While I only have
direct experience of one of them, many of my colleagues
and I have visited houses where such a product has been
installed. While the fact that we have been called in would
seem to indicate that they do not work, this is not necessarily
the case. As the leading supplier of one of the best known
products available in these islands recently told one of
my colleagues, geopathic stress, for whatever reason, seems
to be getting stronger and stronger. Therefore, customers
who bought their devices some years ago may find that they
no longer work effectively, simply because they are not
powerful enough.
A number of these devices are plugged into the electricity
mains. However, there are also products available that simply
look like metal plates, or coils, or others that have a
crystal base, or are a particular geometric shape.
As with all other kinds of gadgets, do not be either attracted
by, or put off by, the look of the product. If you really
feel that a particular device is what you need, then that
is probably the case. However if your property experiences
energetic problems that have not been mentioned so far in
this section, please read the page regarding “Other
Energy Problems”, as a geopathic stress busting device
may not be enough to solve the problem by itself. Normally,
these products are sold by people with at least some dowsing
experience, so the supplier should be able to advise you
on correct location of their own devices in your home. Given
that location, as well as power, is likely to have a significant
effect on the success of the device, it might be advisable
to check this out with the supplier before committing yourself.
Geomancer, Earth Energies Dowser or Other Earth Healer:
A number of geomancers, earth energies dowsers and other
energy practioners can detect the presence of geopathic
stress by dowsing or other means. Many of us can establish
whether a property is suffering from geopathic stress simply
by dowsing a floor plan or map of the property. Others prefer
to work solely on site.
If you do engage a geomancer or dowser
to work on your property, you will find that most of us
prefer to go on-site to do any actual clearing. Many practioners
use Earth Acupuncture to clear the area; just as an acupuncturist
would use needles to clear an energetic blockage in the
human body, we use earth acupuncture needles (also known
as stakes, pins and wands) to clear the lines of geopathic
stress, having dowsed for the correct location for these.
They are generally made from copper, crystals or wood, with
steel being used occasionally with great caution. Some dowsers
or geomancers will divert energy or water lines around a
building, others will clear it of any detrimental element.
In an indoor environment such as a townhouse
with only a patio garden, or an apartment, a variety of
means may be used to “pin the lines” as it is
impossible to hammer stakes into the earth. The most common
methods involve the use of crystals, “horseshoes”,
copper spiral or copper pipes.
A number of practioners do all of their
clearing from a distance.
Clearly, should there be other energetic
problems (such as spirit activity) at the property, a geomancer
or dowser may well be able to work on these too during a
consultation. Ensure that you talk the situation through
beforehand to confirm if the particular practioner that
you would like to engage is experienced in dealing with
your particular situation, as we each have our own areas
of specialisation.

Finally, I would suggest that whatever
action you may decide upon, it would be worth moving your
bed or chair at the very least if you do believe that your
property may be geopathically stressed, especially if you
have children. There are those who are fortunate in that
they seem unaffected by GS, but for many of us, its effects
are insidious and unwelcome. Children are particularly vulnerable
to the challenges geopathic stress presents to us.
