GEOPATHIC STRESS
Other Energetic Problems that May Occur in a Property
Now, it may be that you have read through
all the information on geopathic stress but still feel that
you have had energetic experiences in your home or another
building that has fallen outside of this range. Below I
have listed a number of possible phenomena that may be encountered,
some frequently, others very rarely. Some of these situations
may have pertained for years, or even generations, whereas
others may have come about in just a few years.
While it is impossible in such a short
space to list all the indicators that might have triggered
any changes in the feel of the property, here are some of
the most common:
• Property may have been extended
one or more times; problems may have become more noticeable
since extension, or even just started about that time
• Two houses may have been knocked
into one
• Extensive changes may have been
made to garden or land
• Healthy mature trees may have been
felled on the land
• A pool may have been installed
• A nearby major road may have cut
across woodland, commonage or parkland
• A change may have occurred in the
site boundaries
• Property may be close to burial
grounds or a number of churches or other sacred sites
• Property may have been developed
on site of former church or burial ground
• Property may have been developed
on site of former prison
• Property may have been developed
on site of former hospital
• Property may have been developed
on site of former mental institution
• Property may have been developed
on site of former workhouse or poorhouse
• Property may have been developed
on former military site
• Property may have been built on
old battle site
On to some of the possible experiences that may have been
noted at the property:
• Hearing unexplained “sounds”,
footsteps or “voices”
• Feeling that you are not alone
even though is no one present
• Feeling that someone else is sitting
or lying on your chair, sofa or bed, even though no one
else is present
• Children or animals constantly
looking at something, though nothing there
• People “seeing” things
in the property
• Feeling as though your hair is
standing on end
• History of haunting
• Get goose bumps in particular parts
of the property
• You may have a feeling of being
unwelcome on the site, or in the building
• Unexplained cold (or possibly)
hot spots in property
• Things mysteriously go missing,
possibly turning up again exactly where you thought they
were
• Lights turn on and off by themselves
• Appliances turn on and off by themselves
• May get a feeling of a spinning
head, or of being spun or pushed around in particular parts
of the property
• Feeling or stories that the land
is cursed, or that its owners are cursed
• History of haunting at the site
• History of fire, sudden death,
suicide, murder or other at the property
• History of drug abuse, or other
type of abuse, at the property
• Teenagers, especially girls, having
“psychic” experiences in the property
• People have been known to use the
ouiji board or take part in séances at the property
• One or more occupants undergoing
complete personality change
• An occupant developing severe personality
disorder since spending time in property
• Night terrors or dreadful nightmares,
often with a feeling of being attacked; often repetitive
• Property has been broken into,
possibly on more than one occasion – occupants may
not feel safe no matter how many alarms, fences etc present
• May be history of poltergeist-type
activity
• Feeling that your energy or life-force
is being sucked from you
• Property may have been blessed
or exorcised but still some problems continue
• Property may contain antiques or
other old furniture or objects that “feel a bit odd”
or “creepy”
• Property may contain artefacts
such as masks etc brought back from holiday; may feel “dark”
or “spooky”
• May be problems with neighbours;
possibly even “bad neighbour syndrome”
• One or more occupants may experience
very vivid dreams
• One or more occupants may sleepwalk
• Young children may chat to “an
invisible friend”
• Dogs may bark intently at thin
air, or in particular parts of the property
This list should not be taken as exhaustive;
people have a huge range of experiences that can be difficult
to describe or understand; some can be quite frightening,
others just make for a good story. Whether I have mentioned
something that closely describes your own particular experience
or not, you might like to contact a professional geomancer
for advice or help. In these types of situation, it is not
recommended that you attempt to resolve the problem yourself,
as you could easily find yourself jumping from the frying
pan into the fire. Even in my world, this is very specialised
work that only a limited number of practioners are equipped
to undertake.
The good news is that there are very few
properties that truly cannot be “fixed” or at
least greatly improved, though there is always the option
of moving. However, no matter how peculiar your story, it
often helps to just realise that someone else has encountered
such phenomena, or at least some other very odd things,
even if they don’t seem to have any place in the modern,
scientific, rational world.
To contact a geomancer, you might like
to visit The Geomancy Group, or you may contact me directly.
A limited number of dowsers also undertake some of this
type of work and can be contacted through The British Society
of Dowsers. Practioner members of The Spirit Release Foundation
may also be able to help in some cases.
Before you consider engaging any practioner
with this type of case, I would recommend that you discuss
the situation carefully with him or her to ensure that the
situation is indeed one compatible with the practioner’s
experience and usual caseload. Remember, too, that it is
important that you feel that he or she is the “right”
practioner for you.
One point to note is that the more challenging
of these types of cases may not be completely solved on
one visit; there may be one or more follow-ups required,
so don’t feel let down if the practioner doesn’t
get it sorted straight away. Finally, there is also the
possibility that one practioner will not be able to fix
it completely. A team of two or more practioners may be
required on site together, or possibly another practioner
with a slightly different skill set may be required further
down the line. However, I would ask you to always give the
original practioner the chance to have a second shot at
balancing the property before you try another avenue.
Whatever your story, or whomsoever you
feel drawn to engage to work on the situation with you,
I truly wish that you may find peace, health and happiness
in your own space at the end of it.
